This is a post I’ve been wanting to do for awhile but have not taken the time to sit down and write it. I thought with all the Christmas shopping frenzy currently happening, it was a good time to post it.
I want to tell you a little secret about me: I.HATE.TO.SHOP
I know, it’s supposed to be a woman thing but when it comes to fighting crowds, especially during the recently black Friday craziness, I’m out people! Now don’t get me wrong, I enjoy casual browsing with my fellow girlfriends. I love checking out the latest fashion and sales racks, but when it comes to serious shopping, I will choose my jammies, on the sofa with a good football game.
Because I do love fashion and because I usually gravitate to anything black or brown when it comes to adding new pieces to my wardrobe, let me tell you about one of my most favorite ways to “shop” these days that has given me some awesome variety in my wardrobe.
I signed up for Stitch Fix a year or so ago. It took me awhile to finally give in a schedule a “fix” but I have not looked back since then!
Stitch Fix is a fabulous way to shop. Basically, you register for their website and take a personal style survey. When you get ready for a fix you simply schedule it at your convenience, or you can sign up for monthly automatic fixes. I choose to schedule mine. When your fix ships you are charged a $20 styling fee. They have personal stylists who select your pieces according to your style survey and any feedback from previous fixes.
Next you receive your awesome box of Stitch Fix goodness. Goodness, I tell you! You then have three days to try on and decide which of the five pieces you want to add to your wardrobe, or you can keep them all and save 20%. When you decide what to keep, you simply go online and let Stitch Fix know what you are keeping and what you are sending back and you pay for your items. Oh, and your $20 styling fee gets applied to your total! You then put the pieces you don’t want in the prepaid shipper and pop it in the mailbox.
That’s it! The coolest part about Stitch Fix (besides the unique pieces in your closet) is that if your friends decide to get a fix and do so using your referral link, you get a $25 credit to use on your fix. Super and Duper!

I thought it would be fun to share my latest fix and show you what I kept and what I sent back.
Loved this awesome Torrey Twist Cable Knit Infinity Scarf. However, I decided to send it back as I have a scarf in a similar color and couldn’t justify another one for the price. It was cozy and warm!
This Evolution by Cyrus – Shelby Heathered Colorblock Sweater was a keeper! In fact, I wore this one today. This sweater is so super soft and comfy. It is also not extremely hot so it will be great if I want to add layers underneath for warmth, or I can wear it into the spring season. This sweater reminds me of throwing on a favorite sweatshirt! It will be getting a lot of wear in my more casual wardrobe.
Also in this fix, was this pair of Henry & Belle – Jania Straight Leg Jeans. I seriously fell in love with this pair of jeans the minute I put them on. Not only did they fit well, they were very comfortable. However, I had sticker shock and just could not justify the price at this point in my life. Color me sad! (and poor!) 🙁
This RD Style – Roxanne Striped Fringe Cardigan was another keeper for me. I have already worn this one a couple of times and have received numerous compliments. It’s warm, cozy and super cute! The pattern reminds me of a pretty saddle blanket. Great colors that match everything too.
This last piece was probably my least fave of this fix. It’s a Yumi – Ember Geo Print Cowl Neck Dress. It’s color, shape and concept are really pretty but that cowl was just a wee too cowl-ey for me! It just didn’t scream “KIM” to me.
So there you have it! That was my latest Stitch Fix.
